Jonathan Oudekerk

Jonathan Oudekerk is the co-founder and Chief Business Officer of SmartLabel, a music-tech company focused on giving artists complete control over their music, their audience, and their career. With a background as an executive and strategist, Jonathan brings a clear mission to the music industry: remove the unnecessary layers between artists and fans, and return ownership and monetization power to the creators.

At the core of this vision is TraXs — an open-source, decentralized streaming platform developed under Jonathan’s leadership. Built to challenge traditional gatekeeping in the music industry, TraXs allows artists to release their music independently, track engagement directly, and earn from their work without restrictions or interference. Jonathan sees this as the future of music: artist-driven, fan-connected, and free from the outdated structures that limit growth.

What sets Jonathan apart is his commitment to fairness and transparency. He believes that artists shouldn’t have to trade ownership for reach, or compromise their rights for exposure. Instead, they should have the tools to own, control, and grow their careers — all while building deeper, more meaningful relationships with their fans.

Through SmartLabel and TraXs, Jonathan is leading a quiet (r)evolution in music: one where creators are empowered, middlemen are optional, and success is defined by freedom, not compromise.
