Loredana Cacciotti

Loredana is the Founder of Future Play Music, a consultancy helping music companies with their licensing needs. With nearly 15 years of experience as a music lawyer, she now works as a fractional advisor for distributors, labels, publishers, and start-ups on digital licensing from both legal and commercial angles. Alongside her own consultancy, Loredana is also the Head of Licensing at LANDR and a digital/business affairs consultant for Stealthwrks’ clients.

With nearly 15 years of experience mainly as a music lawyer, Loredana’s work is nowadays focussed on digital licences from a commercial and legal stand-point where she advises primarily distributors as well as labels and publishers on their digital strategy.

Prior to starting her own consultancy company in September 2024, Loredana was the EVP, Digital Revenue & Licensing at Downtown Music Holdings, where she oversaw the digital strategy of Downtown Music Group (including its subsidiaries such as FUGA, CD Baby, Songtrust, Downtown Music Publishing, and Downtown Artists & Labels) and supervised and negotiated licenses for over 30+ million tracks and 3+ million compositions.

Prior to joining Downtown, Loredana led the Business Affairs & Licensing department of FUGA for more than five years after leaving her role in the legal department of MixRadio. Loredana also worked at BPI (British Phonographic Industry), focussing on legal and contractual issues related to the production of the BRIT Awards and before that she spent several years at Ministry of Sound, overseeing music-related deals for artists such as London Grammar, DJ Fresh and Example, as well as providing legal support for MOS's official merchandise, worldwide Ministry of Sound and Hed Kandi events and general media and digital matters.

Loredana is an avid music lover of shoegaze, post-punk and new wave, yet with a guilty pleasure for 90’s Britpop and UK Garage. Italian by origin she left Rome to follow her love for music and has been leaving abroad between London and Amsterdam for the last 18 years.
