Shaping the Future of Music Together

FRIDAY,

ANGIe's

An AI-supported participatory think tank for music creators, event organizers, young professionals, experts, and technology pioneers

How do we want to create and experience music in 2035, and how will emerging technologies shape these activities? What economic, social, and organizational structures will be needed to sustain diverse and resilient music ecosystems?

This AI-supported participatory think tank invites all participants to explore possible futures of music ecosystems and actively contribute to shaping them. The format draws on current research into the future of music ecosystems.

Following a brief introduction exploring how processes and structures in the music sector might become more strongly orchestrated or collaboratively co-organized (by Carsten Winter), the session will focus on three key areas:

1. Music creators in 2035 – with a contribution from Christine Preitauer

2. Music festivals in 2035 – with a contribution from Codruța Vulcu

3. AI and music in 2035 – with a contribution from Guy Morrow

Short personal statements on dreams, expectations, challenges, and threats within each area will provide the starting point. Rather than presenting definitive forecasts, they offer deliberately focused assumptions that participants can build on, challenge, and develop further together.

The Think Tank is organized in collaboration with the German Society for Music Business and Music Culture Research (GMM e.V.) and its international umbrella organization, the International Association of Music Business Research (IAMBR)
