Dennis Collopy is a PEC Research Fellow at the UK's Creative Industries Policy and Evidence Centre as well as a Research Fellow at the University of Hertfordshire. He specialises in Music and IP Right (IPR) related research including studies on music consumer research, IPR enforcement , social media , AI and IPR, and Music IP Finance for UK Music, the UKIPO and WIPO His more than 20 years of academic experience includes co-founding the International Music Business Research Association (IMBRA) in Vienna in 2012.

Dennis has also spent five decades in the music industry working across music publishing, artist management and record labels having been MD of Riva Music (signing the Clash, Rod Stewart and John Mellencamp) BMG Music Publishing (Steve Earle, Maria McKee, Eurythmics and Clannad) EG Music (KLF, the Orb and Robert Fripp). His Menace Music Management focuses on IPR management for a roster of successful recording artists, producers and songwriters. Dennis is a former director of PRS and board member of the MPA.
