Jonny Amos

Jonny Amos is a music industry strategist, educator, author, producer and podcast host with more than two decades of experience across the creative industries. He combines practical experience of the music business with a strong interest in the technologies, business models and cultural changes shaping its future.

Jonny is the host of The Music Business Buddy, a podcast helping music creators and professional understand the business behind music. Through conversations with artists, managers, lawyers, publishers, music-tech entrepreneurs and industry leaders, the podcast explores the changing relationship between music, technology, rights, revenue and creativity.

He is the author of The Music Business For Music Creators, published by Routledge, which provides practical guidance for musicians navigating the modern music industry. He is also a Senior Lecturer at BIMM Institute, where he teaches and mentors the next generation of music professionals.

Alongside his education and media work, Jonny is active in artist management and music production and holds major-label credits and chart success in Europe and Asia. This gives him a perspective that spans both the creative and business sides of the industry.
