Ludwig started his career in the corporate finance department of Kleinwort Benson in 1994 in London and later in New York. In 2000 he joined the Private Equity team of Thomas Weisel Partners in London.
Since 2003 he has been advising clients on various alternative assets including the structuring and acquisition of performing and non-performing loans and trade receivables. Ludwig is an active investor in the Musictech and music royalty space.
In 2025 he cofounded Namier Creative Industries together with Paul Hourican to focus on the creator economy.
In his spare time he enjoys Jazz and is a keen supporter of the Abram Wilson Foundation (recently rebranded to EQTY for Music) that champions unrecognised, young jazz musicians and the World Heart Beat music academy and recording studio in South London.
Ludwig holds a BA degree in Economics from Sussex University and a Master Degree in Economics from Cambridge University.
