In the 1950s and 60s, musical innovation happened by misappropriating testing equipment to attempt to break new grounds in music. While today these processes may seem arduous and primitive, a deeper look into the techniques and instruments used reveals a world of ideas and sounds that still inspires. Hainbach has plundered the electronic music of the 20th century for a good decade now, and has repurposed it for a modern audience both on his YouTube channel, live audiences and as software instruments.
