Stefan Bock, Speaker Music Frontiers 2025, Sept in Berlin

Stefan Bock (born August 20, 1964, in southern Germany) began his career as an audio engineer in 1987. After working as a freelance engineer in various Munich-based studios, he co-founded msm-studios in 1991, where he served as both Chief Mastering Engineer and General Manager.

Under his leadership, msm-studios grew into one of Germany’s most respected mixing and mastering facilities, with locations in Munich and Berlin.

Since 2007, Stefan and his team have been active in Blu-ray encoding and authoring services. He played a key role in the development of innovative applications such as Pure Audio Blu-ray and mShuttle.

A pioneer in immersive audio, Stefan was involved from its earliest stages and is recognized as an expert in formats including Dolby Atmos, Auro-3D, DTS:X, MPEG-H, and Sony 360 Reality Audio.

Throughout his career, he has contributed to numerous immersive audio productions - as a mixing and mastering engineer and as a producer - on many award-winning albums.

In 2025, Stefan took on a new role as Head of Streamsoft Europe, a company dedicated to immersive (live) streaming using next-generation audio technologies.
